The founder of Transcend Accounting, John Barrett has a proven track record of providing quality, tailored accounting and business advice. 

 

Background

John commenced his career in 1998 as a Graduate Accountant with a Chartered Accountancy firm in Brisbane specialising in taxation. Since that time, he has amassed over 25 years of experience providing expert taxation and business services advice to clients across multiple industries.  Property investment and development, allied health, pharmacy, commercial printing, couriers and road transport, real estate agents, share trading and sporting associations is just a small snapshot of some of the many industries John has serviced over the years.

Prior to establishing Transcend Accounting, John has held multiple Senior Management roles in private accounting practices specialising in Taxation and Business Services. 

​

John holds a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accounting and Finance from Griffith University and is a Chartered Accountant. In addition to being a registered tax agent, John is also Xero Certified and holds a Diploma of Financial Services (Superannuation).

As a special area of interest, John has drawn on previous industry experience to provide accounting and business services to multiple allied health professionals in the local area. He is also passionate about helping clients get the most from their self-managed super funds.
